Frontvale is a family-backed private investment firm providing specialist credit and equity focused on digital infrastructure, maritime and residential development.
Frontvale was founded in 2014 by Dermot Mulvihill following his retirement as Chief Financial Officer of Kingspan, where he spent more than thirty years helping build one of Ireland's most successful international companies, from its stock market listing in 1989 to global leadership in its sector.
Frontvale began as a family investment vehicle, holding Irish real estate and minority stakes in established Irish businesses. Over the past decade its remit has widened to asset-backed lending and partnerships with operating businesses across maritime, digital infrastructure and residential development, supported by an in-house team built to originate, structure and manage that activity directly.
The principles have not changed. We invest patiently, we underwrite the asset as well as the balance sheet, and we behave as long-term partners prioritising sustainable growth.
We provide flexible capital, quickly, in sectors where our experience lets us understand the asset or business as well as the people running it. That means we can lend against hard assets and back experienced operators on terms, and to timetables, that generalist capital can't match.

We are sector-agnostic but selective: we back people with deep operating knowledge of their market and a clear plan to build something of scale. Secured lending across the maritime sector, from vessel acquisition and construction to completion financing. Our sector knowledge allows us to assess vessels, yards and counterparties directly, and to move with a speed and flexibility that traditional ship lenders rarely offer.
Mezzanine and preferred equity for residential developers in Ireland, with a focus on social and affordable schemes delivered to local authorities. As senior lenders have reduced leverage on development projects, we provide the capital that gets viable schemes built. Our residential lending is also carried out in partnership with Everlet Capital
Dermot served as Chief Financial Officer of Kingspan for more than thirty years, through its 1989 stock market listing and its growth into a global industry leader. Since leaving Kingspan he has served on several boards, including Coillte and FBD Insurance. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA.

Fearghal leads Frontvale's investment activity across real estate, maritime and digital infrastructure, and led the build-out of the firm's subsea cable installation platform. He has more than 15 years' experience in deals and credit. He is a CFA charterholder and Chartered Accountant, and holds an MBA from Wharton and a BA in Management Science from Trinity College Dublin.

Matteo leads Frontvale's digital business investments, from sourcing and due diligence through to structuring. He previously spent ten years in gaming, playing a central role in Paddy Power Betfair's $600 million acquisition of FanDuel. He holds a Master's in Statistics and Economics from the University of Rome.

Niall heads Frontvale Investment Management, our asset-backed lending arm, and oversees our digital investments alongside Matteo. He spent nearly a decade with Flutter in the US, latterly as General Manager of FanDuel, leading it to become the largest operator in the US sports betting market. Rory is the founder and managing partner behind Everlet Capital and has more than a decade of experience in alternative development finance in Ireland. Rory is a qualified solicitor and former licensed property services provider.
